Support The Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH) and get your name on a chair in Stockholm's most modern concert hall - the Royal Hall!
KMH’s new campus opening in 2016, will be the model of an advanced, world-class musical institution. Featuring advanced facilities and technology, the goal for KMH is to become an international centre of music with exiting activities, scientific and artistic research. Before completed, KMH's new campus has already received a lot of attention locally, nationally and internationally.
The new campus will be completed in the summer of 2016 and will be inaugurated formally in January 2017.
The Royal Hall (the main concert hall), located in the large glass building along Vallhallavägen, will offer breath-taking acoustics and distinguished technology. The stage can accommodate a full symphony orchestra with a choir on the grandstands and a crowd of 600 people.
KMH’s campaign "The Concert Chair" creates an opportunity for you to participate and get your own nameplate on a chair in Stockholm's most modern concert hall – the Royal Hall.
– KMH educates world-leading musicians and music teachers. Alumni from KMH are also songwriters, music producers and studio musicians who work together with the world’s best musical artists, says the composer Benny Andersson, one of many who engage in KMH’s new campus.
- So it’s important for Sweden and the musical tradition in our country that we continue to invest in this indispensable music education.
By naming one or more concert chairs, you will contribute to the infrastructure and technology in KMH’s new campus, and thereby you will contribute to create the best conditions for KMH to continue to implement education, research and productions of the highest quality.
- The campaign “The Concert Chair” is not just a question of financial contribution, emphasizing Cecilia Rydinger Alin, Vice-Chancellor at KMH.
- It is also a possibility to build personal relationships between KMH and our important friends and partners outside of the College.
